About us

We are Helen and Jules – welcome to our counselling space!

We are qualified integrative therapists who trained together and decided to share our professional space located in the centre of Stockport.

We work independently and offer both in-person and remote sessions (via Zoom/ telephone). Our face-to-face counselling sessions are offered from our comfortable and discreet therapy room. Sessions are available 6 days a week throughout the day and evenings.

Life can be challenging at times and talking to a counsellor can help you navigate through these difficult periods. By working together we can find ways in which counselling can support you. I have experience working in the voluntary sector, higher education and the NHS and have helped clients with a variety of issues such as relationship problems, anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, loss and bereavement.

I work using an integrative approach to therapy, which means I can tailor the therapy to your specific need. I am qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and Person Centred which underpins my work. I have a particular interest in inner child work and how childhood experiences can impact the person we are today. Therapy can be difficult and challenging which is why I understand the importance of the relationship between client and counsellor. The foundation of this relationship is built on trust, respect and confidentiality.

My approach is non-judgemental and flexible where I believe the client is in control of what they bring and how they wish to work. You may have a specific problem or a situation that is causing you distress or something from your past that remains unresolved, we can work together to make sense of the thoughts and feelings which are holding you back from enjoying a fuller life.

As a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP, I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and keep my knowledge up to date with professional development whilst having regular supervision.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, which allows me to draw upon different concepts to support you in exploring any difficulties you are experiencing. I offer a warm, safe, professional, non-judgmental space where, together, we can access your inner resources to help you move forward with your life in a way that feels comfortable to you, promoting a sense of well-being and growth.

You may come to counselling knowing what issues you want to explore and focus upon, or you may not be able to pinpoint why you feel as you do. Whatever brings you to counselling I will work collaboratively with you, ensuring your needs are the focus of our work together. The counselling relationship is fundamental, I will work with you to develop our therapeutic relationship in order to promote an environment where you feel supported in our work together. Through either short or long-term therapy my focus will be upon addressing the areas that are important to you, making our work together tailor-made to suit you as a unique individual. It is my aim to ensure that I work sensitively and at a pace which is comfortable for you as we explore your thoughts, emotions and life experiences.
