Life can be challenging at times and talking to a counsellor can help you navigate through these difficult periods. By working together we can find ways in which counselling can support you. I have experience working in the voluntary sector, higher education and the NHS and have helped clients with a variety of issues such as relationship problems, anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, loss and bereavement.

I work using an integrative approach to therapy, which means I can tailor the therapy to your specific need. I am qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and Person Centred which underpins my work. I have a particular interest in inner child work and how childhood experiences can impact the person we are today. Therapy can be difficult and challenging which is why I understand the importance of the relationship between client and counsellor. The foundation of this relationship is built on trust, respect and confidentiality.

My approach is non-judgemental and flexible where I believe the client is in control of what they bring and how they wish to work. You may have a specific problem or a situation that is causing you distress or something from your past that remains unresolved, we can work together to make sense of the thoughts and feelings which are holding you back from enjoying a fuller life.

As a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP, I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and keep my knowledge up to date with professional development whilst having regular supervision.
